Cherie Ramsdell is a South Dakota artist who works primarily in antler, bone, rawhide, and raku fired clay. The horse hair vessels are created by allowing the white hot clay surface to accept the kiss of smoke when hair is laid on it during the firing process. The result, is a striking monochromatic and very organic pattern.

The look, quality, craftsmanship and functionality of this classic western saddle pad evokes memories of the past and frames the beauty of both horse and saddle.  Made to fit all western saddles square or round skirt.  The 3/4" edged piping on front and 1" piping on back prevents pad from ever shifting and ensures proper placement of the saddle and makes the pad and saddle one unit.  The sturdy construction holds it's shape for the life of the pad.  The size is 30" x 32",  Other features include:

Rolled edge and engineering provides greater freedom of movement.

Rolled edge traps air and keeps horses back perspiration even and minimal.

Raised and cut back wither prevents pinching and better saddle fit.

Breast collar buckle is lifted from horse's shoulder for freedom of movement and to prevent chafing.

The felt and fleece are cut out at wear leather for close contact.

After 3-4 days of riding the Western Legend Saddle Pad will start to conform to the horse and saddle contours and fall into place easily and provide even more comfort.
